In many cases, window treatments for bay windows can be overwhelming. You do not want to overtake the window or the room. A lot depends on the window itself, the room, and your personal style. Here are a few of our ideas.

To keep the look neat, crisp, and clean, simply use a roman or roll-up shade on each window. When rolled up, a shade with a lively pattern creates a valance that can nicely tie together your upholstery and the room.

If it is privacy you are after, a bay window area can be shuttered with either floor length shutters or smaller cut-to-fit window shutters. This is a more tailored look than you would achieve with draperies. Wood shutters are flexible, they let in the light and the view, completely blocking both or allowing for both, and they have a certain country charm.
